Asset tape creation
A step-by-step walk-through for importing an asset tape into a project. The wizard has four steps: Upload → Relations → Map columns → Preview. You can save and exit at any point and resume later.
Start at: Prepare → Project → Asset tape, then click Add data connections (or Resume if an import is in progress).
The four steps
- Upload or connect data — get your raw data tables into the project.
- Relations between tables — tell the system how your tables join together.
- Map columns — match each source column to a target schema field.
- Preview import — review the transformed data and commit.
Saving, resuming and exiting
- The wizard tracks your current step. Closing the tab and returning later picks up where you left off.
- The X in the header offers Save & exit (keep your work) or Discard & exit (drop the in-progress mappings).
- On the asset tape landing page, an in-progress import shows Resume and Start again buttons. Start again restarts the wizard from the beginning, but files you already uploaded remain available — you don't have to upload them again.
